2011 – 2015
Invisible Cities Radio was an alternative to mainstream radio in Johannesburg. It was a place for artists and experiments. A place to talk about our city.
ICR started at an event, a drive in concert as part of the Invisible Cities series before it started moving around to semi-permanent homes and popping up at events or as part of public art projects. It broadcast terrestrially on FM frequency to small radius, roughly the centre of Johannesburg. There were some shows that happened semi-regularly but mostly when people felt like trying something out.
